Last year, over one thousand people came to Ravenswood to take home treasures from 180 residences during our Front Yard Free-Cycle event. This “everything is free” event returns on Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 9am-3pm in Ravenswood!
Register to participate: To register your home for the event, please fill out our form here. To access the interactive Google Map, click here (map will be updated twice weekly until the registration deadline of Tuesday, June 2nd).
Volunteers needed: Help us make the event a success! We need help at the community drop-off site Thursday and Friday before the event, and at the drop-off site and RNA info tent on Saturday during the event. Sign up here.
Community Drop-off Site: Can’t participate day of the event? We’re once again partnering with Northside Church of the Nazarene so you can drop off items before the event! Bring items to the church, located at 1900 W Leland, Thursday, June 4 (4pm-8pm) or Friday, June 5 (12pm-6pm).
After the event: Have items left over? Post them in the Ravenswood Free Box group on Facebook or donate to a local group of your choice.
NEW THIS YEAR: We’ve partnered with Cradles to Crayons, a nonprofit that provides children (birth–age 12) living in low-income or homeless situations with essential items like clothing, shoes, diapers, and school supplies free of charge so they can thrive at home, at school, and at play. A donation collection for Cradles to Crayons will be available at 1620 W Sunnyside for accepted items. Drop off Saturday, June 6 (3pm-7pm) and Sunday, June 7 (9am-5pm).
Ravenswood Sidewalk Sale: The Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce is organizing the third annual Ravenswood Sidewalk Sale on Saturday, June 6th, the same day as Free-cycle! Stop by RNA’s info table outside of Hazel at 1835 W Montrose. Raven T-shirts available for a donation to RNA! ($25 non-member, $20 child, $10 for RNA members).
Enjoy open air shopping, one-of-a-kind merchandise, and amazing specials along Montrose, Damen, Lawrence, and Ravenswood avenues while you browse the residential streets for free finds. See participating businesses.
It’s like a yard sale, but everything is FREE!
Ravenswood Free Box and the Ravenswood Neighbors Association invite you to participate in our 6th annual Ravenswood Free-Cycle event on Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 9am-3pm.
Walk the Ravenswood neighborhood and find new treasures – without the exchange of any funds. It’s about reduce, reuse, and recycle: neighbors are encouraged to place clean and usable items they no longer want in front of their residences, and community members can take items for free!
Residents and businesses that live and work within Free Box’s boundaries of Foster, Ashland, Montrose, and Damen Avenues (or within two blocks outside our boundaries) are welcome to participate. There is no fee, and if you don’t have a space to set out items, no worries, we can host you in our community drop-off location! Stay tuned for more details.
